Quality Waveguide Components, Verified Every Time

For 50+ years, mission-critical programs in defense, aerospace, and space have trusted Penn Engineering’s ISO 9001-certified quality system to deliver dimensionally accurate, fully traceable waveguide components — every part, every time.

A Foundation of Precision and Traceability

Waveguide components aren’t commodity parts — they’re mission-critical links in systems where failure isn’t an option. Since 1971, quality has been built into every stage of our process, from raw material receipt through final electrical test.

We maintain full traceability of all materials, hardware, and components used in our products, and every custom and standard component is manufactured to documented MIL-SPEC standards and inspected against structured protocols before it ships.

Our quality system isn’t a checkbox — it’s the reason prime contractors and integrators return to Penn Engineering program after program.

How We Verify It

From First Article to Final Inspection

Every Penn Engineering component moves through the same disciplined quality path — regardless of order size or program.

01

Material Receipt & Traceability

Incoming material is logged and traced against certifications before it reaches the shop floor.

02

Precision Machining

CNC and 4th-axis machining hold tolerances to ±.0002", with CNC saw work held to ±.005".

03

Surface Treatment

Dip brazing per AWS C3.7 and chem-film per MIL-C-5541, plus silver, gold, and custom finishes.

04

Inspection & Electrical Test

CMM dimensional inspection and VNA electrical characterization confirm every part meets spec before it ships.

AS9100 Certification — Targeted Completion Q4 2026

Penn Engineering is actively pursuing AS9100 certification, the aerospace and defense industry’s standard for quality management systems built on ISO 9001. Our processes already operate to AS9100 requirements ahead of formal certification, reinforcing the same commitment to traceability, risk management, and continuous improvement our defense and aerospace partners expect. Certificate availability and program details will be posted here upon completion.
